FREQUENTY ASKED QUESTIONS

Booking a photographer should be easy! That's why I have completed a list of questions I get asked most frequently. If you still cannot find your answer below, please feel free to send me a message, I will reply to you directly as soon as I can.

I mainly specialized in boudoir & lingerie sessions, portraits (including personal branding) and lifestyle photography, including couple photography & fashion.

This is a very important question to ask!

I lover natural light and majority of my photography is taken with natural light only. I love to play with the settings to achieve the best possible effects with just as little as daylight on the gloomy day. I believe that natural light enhances our beauty in the best possible way, while still leaving some space for creativity.

I would describe my artistic style as moody and dark, with pinch of dramatic & mysterious touch. My edits have deep shadows, higher contrast and richer colours.

However, every photography session required slight different approach to meet the client’s needs. If we  are taking a head-shoot for your LinkedIn profile, obviously, dark and moody edits are not applicable. In this case a lighter tones and natural edits are much more desirable.

Because my ultimate goal is to make people love their pictures and having a good time!

I always do my best to connect well with my clients and listen to their needs. I try to create as comfortable and pleasant atmosphere as possible. This is especially important during the boudoir sessions, when you might feel out of your comfort zone.

That’s why I am always on my mission: teaching women sophisticated sensuality and empowering them to feel their best selves.

Usually, the photography sessions take place outdoor (portrait, lifestyle, couple photography) or at the client’s home (boudoir sessions).

Sometimes, depending on the special request or weather conditions, some alternative solutions can be arranged. But I opt for the easiest and most optimal solutions. Shooting outdoor brings the variety of locations and changes of the seasons.

Boudoir sessions take place at the client’s house, providing the most comfortable and safe environment, especially in bedrooms where one feels the most sexy and self-confident.

Let’s discuss alternatives!

First of all, let’s clarify one misconception – you don’t need a luxury hotel room to have a beautiful boudoir session. The session is about YOU, not your fancy couch or designer’s furniture. In theory, we don’t need much more than just a bed, a window with natural light (no need for a sunny day neither!) and you, in a good mood!

We can discuss upfront all the pros and cons of your bedroom and how can we add an ‘artsy’ touch. Often, some minimal adjustments like adding few pillows or flowers, will be more than enough to enhance the place and make it more suitable for a photoshooting. Do you have some stains on the wall? Don’t worry about it neither, this can be fixed in Photoshop!

However, it can happen that your place isn’t suitable for a photoshooting.  Maybe you live with your parents, or in a very small dormitory room. Or just simply you would like to surprise your partner with beautiful pictures and he/she shouldn’t know about the session. Of course, I totally understand that. So what are the alternatives?

There are few options. You can arrange a different location for the session. You can ask your friends to use their place, or rent out a hotel room or AirBnB for a day. You can also find a photography day studio that can be rented out per hour(s). Or, alternatively, you can book one of the day studio suggested by me.

Nevertheless, in all cases, any additional cost for rental a location are due to the client and there are not included in the package price.

In some cases- yes. Few of the exceptions are listed above. But I am always open for any suggestions if you have special requirements.

A day studio can be always book if needed, but please keep in mind availability limitations. Please address your needs in advance, so we can find suitable solution on time.

As mentioned above, any additional cost for rental a location are due to the client and there are not included in the package price.

This is a fair question to ask, as many photographer are owning their photo studios.

Allow me to clarify. I primarily specialize in boudoir photography, focusing on working with women and ensuring they feel as relaxed as can be in front of the camera. Unfortunately, this level of comfort is seldom achieved in the conventional photography studio environment. The lofty ceilings, stark photographic backdrops adorning the walls, the presence of tripods, softboxes, bright white lights, an intricate web of cables, and a general lack of coziness do not create the most enticing ambiance for capturing intimate lingerie sets, wouldn’t you agree?

I have worked numerous times on large photography sets during my time with a famous fashion brand I worked for. I have observed many professional models feeling intimidated by such environments. As a result, I am not a fan of traditional photo studios and aim to provide a more pleasant experience to my clients.

Adding some historical context: the initial interpretation of a boudoir refers to a women’s personal space designated for bathing and getting dressed. With the passage of time, its scope broadened to include a bedroom or a cozy sitting area where one could retreat to read or host a close friends in a private setting. In either case, access was exclusively granted through invitation.

So how this is related to the boudoir photography? Because the boudoir session it’s still all about intimacy, sensuality and feeling comfortable in your own skin. As beautiful as it sounds, it’s not alway an easy thing to achieve for everyone. But being surrounded by the comfort of your own home, often helps to enhance your inner goodness!

No, of course not! Lingerie isn’t a must for a boudoir session. The most important is to wear something that you would feel comfortable with. Even an old pair of jeans or oversize hoodie of your boyfriend can do the job! It’s all about posing, body language and self – confidence.

However, if you don’t want to wear a lingerie, I would recommend wearing a kimono or overside shirt instead.  These can be easily slide off the shoulders, revealing neck and back, which can be very erotic but still classy and sensual. You can also wrap yourself in a blanket, hide behind a pillow or a curtain. Or we can simply play with the shadows of your body. The possibilities are endless!

You don’t need to show any intimate parts of your body if you don’t feel comfortable with it. Woman body is beautiful in every inch! Think of the neck line, your palms with nails painted red, your full lips, freckles on your nose or your beautiful eyes. You don’t feel comfortable showing your face? This also isn’t a problem. We can focus only on the part of your body that you like and you would feel comfortable to expose.

For a portrait session, you can bring 2 additional outfits with you. Bring something more formal for professional social media. And think of something more casual, an outfits that define YOU. It can be your favour pieces of garment or the one you wear the most. Think of accessories  as well to change your look quickly.

Yes, I am providing a general guideline for all my clients what to wear, what looks the best in the pictures and which colours combination to avoid, to achieve desirable and cohesive look.

However, I wouldn’t like to diminish anyones’ personality by forcing on them something that they wouldn’t feel comfortable with. So please be honest about your preferences and favourite colours, we definitely can find a common ground.

Yes, definitely I can help you to feel much more comfortable!

To be honest, I hated posing when I was a kid and young teenager. I literally cried every time  I had seen myself in the pictures! But you know what? I’ve overcome this by posing more and having fun with it! Today I feel as comfortable in front of the camera as I feel behind it. So I would be more than happy to help you feel your best- self.

We all have our ‘best pose’, ‘best move’ and ‘better profile’! Let’s discover it together! But the most important – let’s have fun while doing so. Photography shouldn’t be only an art, but first of all, a pleasant experience. Eventually, it’s not a dentist appointment, right?

After the booking fee is paid, I will send you a short form to be filled in. It’s totally voluntary to do so, but it would help me to get to know you better and meet your needs during the photoshooting. You can fill in only these questions you are comfortable with, and skip the rest. You can also ask your own questions and I will answer them prior to the photoshooting.

To certain extent – yes. If you prefer your pictures to have a lighter touch or maybe more desaturated colours – I can accommodate your request. However, please keep in mind that the final edits still need to be aligned with my style.

If you look for overexposed, oversaturated and heavily retouched pictures, I wouldn’t be the best photographer for you. Simply, just because this doesn’t match my style. I would advise to look for another photographer, who can meet your needs. There are many amazing photographer out there who can deliver what you are looking for.

Please review my gallery before booking, to be sure that that my style matches your expectations.

No. I won’t be altering the way your body looks. We are all amazing as we are!

But don’t worry, of course I will remove any unexpected pimple or imperfection from your face.

My edit are very subtle. I edit the light balance, exposure and colours. I apply very gentle blur to your skin in order to bring freshness to your face. But I won’t be changing your original features, like eyes colour, hair volume or shape of your nose. I aim for you to be your best self, but still being YOU.

To schedule a session, please use a contact form and let me know the type of session you would like to schedule. Please mention the place, date and time slot your are interested. I will come back to you as soon so possible to confirm my availability.

You can use the same form to ask any additional questions if you wish.

No, I am available throughout the whole Netherlands. The travel cost will be added for each photography session outside of Amsterdam. The regular travel fee of €0.21 per km is applicable.

Please note that the travel fee as of 1st January 2024 will increase to €0.23 per km.

No, only edited pictures in .JPG format will be provided.

No, never! Photography is all about lighting, composition and subject (in this case – YOU). In my opinion, even the most subtle watermark might diminish the power of a photography. As you are paying for your pictures, I want you to have the best images of yourself, not my watermark.

To be honest, watermarks are pretty old-school too. In case I would like to secure copyrights of my photography, I would rather use metadata instead. But this won’t impact the final quality of your pictures, so you don’t need to worry about it.

Within 24h I will provide you an access to the online gallery, where you will be able to preview pictures and chose these, which you like the most. The amount of pictures to be selected for editing is indicated in each package. But you will always get at least 15 edited pictures from me.

The final, edited pictures will be shared with you via a download link within max. 7 working days.
